Kashipur, Uttarakhand: A few days ago, sugarcane farmers along with the party workers met Uttarakhand CM for pending sugarcane arrears issue. They urge the government to intervene and ask sugar mills to clear the pending cane dues.
According to the news report, published in Livehindustan.com, party workers and cane growers met CM at Dehradoon office. They said, “Farmers are facing hardship due to delay in cane payment. And are not able to meet their daily needs.”
CM issued instructions to the concerned official to address the issue. Sugar mills across India claim that due to low sugar sales they are facing a financial crisis and are unable to pay cane dues.
