Laksar, Uttarakhand: Before the commencement of new sugarcane crushing season, mills have started paying the pending cane dues. Laksar sugar mill has cleared the pending cane dues. The payment for sugarcane purchase made by Laksar sugar mill till 15th April has already been sent to the sugarcane committee (Ganna Samiti).
According to the news report published in Livehindustan.com, Ajay Kumar Khandelwal, General manager of the sugar mill, said, “A cheque of Rs 29 crore 44 lakh has been sent to sugarcane committees for payment of sugarcane procurement from April 16 to April 30.”
The process of sending money in farmers accounts have been started. And farmers will receive the payment this week.
