Vehicles in France shifting from gasoline to ethanol as fuel prices continue to rise

Paris: Vehicle owners in France are shifting from gasoline to ethanol as the fuel prices continue to soar and also the biofuel is affordable.

Flex Fuel Energy Development, a market leader in delivering conversion kits said that in the first 22 days of March, it has delivered 6,400 conversion kits which were up by 80 per cent from February when the company had sold 3,468 kits. In January it had delivered 2,166 kits.
A similar hike in the sale of other suppliers has also been noticed.

Sylvain Demoures, secretary-general of French ethanol producers group SNPAA said, “People are now shifting from gasoline to ethanol as fuel for vehicles.”

The conversion kits help the vehicles to run on gasoline as well as on ethanol.

The prices of gasoline have increased in the world after the supply was disrupted due to the sanctions on Russia over its invasion of Ukraine which has led consumers to search for alternative fuel.
