Vikas Lifecare is ready to set up an ethanol manufacturing unit in Bhagalpur district, Bihar with an initial installed capacity of 60 KL per-day to expand its operations in the organic chemicals business. The Company has completed the registration process under the Ethanol Production Policy 2021 of the Bihar State Government.
Bihar govt’s policy is in line with the National Biofuels Policy 2018 of the Govt. of India.
Bihar is promoting ethanol production in the state with an aim to become one of the leading ethanol producers in the country.
The ethanol production policy in Bihar is set to attract more investment in the state. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 5, 2021 released the report of the expert committee on ‘Roadmap for Ethanol Blending in India by 2025‘.
Ethanol distillation capacities in the country would likely be more than doubled by 2025 and India could achieve 20 per cent blending target.
