Basti, Uttar Pradesh: Walterganj sugar mill owes cane dues to farmers and the salaries of employees, said Samajwadi Party MLA Mahendra Yadav in the state Legislative Assembly on Saturday, reports Amar Ujala.
Raising the issue of the sugar mill during the session, he said that there is no budgetary provision to clear the pending cane dues and salaries of the employees. The government should take steps to start operations at the sugar mill and clear the pending cane dues of farmers immediately, he said.
