Chief Minister announces to build an Ethanol Plant

Gurdaspur, May 13: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) alleged that Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh had violated Model Code Conduct (MCC) by making announcements about several projects during a public rally in Gurdaspur and also approached the Election Commission (EC) regarding the same.

The party has submitted a complaint also with the recording of his speech in the office of the state returning officer.

The release by the party said, “Singh while campaigning for Congress candidate Sunil Kumar Jakhar at village Sarna, Bhoa assembly in Gurdaspur on Saturday announced to enhance the capacity of Gurdaspur sugar mill to 10,000 tones. He also announced to establish an Ethanol Plant for production of electricity and CNG, followed by another announcements of preponing the date of sowing paddy and issuing dogri certificates.”
