Uttam Sugar Mills posted a 56.26% increase in net profit, reaching Rs. 65.85 crore for the quarter ended March 2025, compared to Rs. 42.14 crore in the same quarter of the previous year. Revenue for the quarter also saw a 21.85% rise, climbing to Rs. 566.79 crore from Rs. 465.15 crore in the March 2024 quarter.
However, for the full financial year ended March 2025, the company reported a decline in net profit at Rs. 88.31 crore, down from Rs. 132.21 crore in the previous financial year. Annual revenue also dropped, standing at Rs. 1,846.01 crore compared to Rs. 2,046.97 crore in the year ended March 2024.
The Board of Directors has recommended a dividend of 6.50 % on “Series – I Non-Cumulative Redeemable Preference shares” and 10.00% on “Series – 11 Non-Cumulative Redeemable Preference shares” for the year ended 31st March, 2025, subject to the approval f Shareholders at the ensuing Annual General Meeting of the Company.
The Board of Directors has also recommended a dividend of Rs. 2.50 per equity share of face value of Rs.10/-each (i.e. 25%) for the year ended 31st March, 2025, subject to the approval of Shareholders at the ensuing Annual General Meeting of the Company.
