Indian equity indices ended lower on June 18 after a volatile trading session.
Sensex ended 138.64 points lower at 81,444.66, whereas Nifty concluded 41.35 points down at 24,812.05.
Top Nifty losers included TCS, Adani Ports, JSW Steel, HUL, Adani Enterprises, while gainers were IndusInd Bank, Trent, Titan Company, Maruti Suzuki and M&M.
Indian rupee ended 23 paise lower at 86.47 per dollar on Wednesday versus Tuesday’s close of 86.24.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 212.85 points lower at 81,583.30, whereas Nifty concluded 93.10 points down at 24,853.40.
