Sensex ends 83 points lower, Nifty below 24,800

Indian equity indices ended lower on June 19 amid persistent geopolitical tensions and the US Federal Reserve’s cautious rate stance.

Sensex ended 82.79 points lower at 81,361.87, whereas Nifty concluded 18.80 points down at 24,793.25.

On the Nifty, notable gainers included Tata Consumer, Eicher Motors, M&M, Wipro, and Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories. On the losing side were Adani Ports, Bajaj Finance, Shriram Finance, Tech Mahindra, and Adani Enterprises.

In the previous season, Sensex ended 138.64 points lower at 81,444.66, whereas Nifty concluded 41.35 points down at 24,812.05.
