Domestic sugar prices were reported to be stable
After a sharp rise, domestic sugar prices in the major markets were reported to be stable. Prices in the major markets of Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and Karnataka were reported to be stable. Lower monthly quota has led to increase of Rs 50-70 per quintal over the last 2-3 sessions.
M-grade sugar costs between Rs 3,950 and Rs 4,000 per quintal in Muzaffarnagar, whereas S-grade sugar costs between Rs 3,760 and Rs 3,800 in Kolhapur.
