Muzaffarnagar: Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (Independent Charge) Jayant Chaudhary on Friday said that a favorable decision for sugarcane farmers will be announced soon. He assured that the government has always stood by farmers, fought for their interests, and will continue to support them, reports Jagran.
Chaudhary made the remarks while addressing people after a community lunch at the residence of MLA Rajpal Balyan.
Earlier in the day, he inaugurated a newly constructed sports stadium on the grounds of a junior high school. The project, for which he had allocated ₹1 crore from his MP fund, has so far cost around ₹3 crore, with an additional ₹2 crore planned for further development. Upcoming facilities will include a 200-meter track, volleyball court, open-air gym, changing rooms, washrooms, and proper lighting.
The minister also announced ₹1 crore for developing a sports complex in Kharad village. In addition, he honored shooter Vanshika Chaudhary from Baghpat, who won a gold medal at the Asian Shooting Championship held in Kazakhstan.
Encouraging youth to focus more on sports, Chaudhary said young people, especially girls, should come forward and participate actively. “There is immense hidden talent in rural areas that needs to be nurtured. Along with skill development, youth must give equal importance to sports,” he added.
