The lowest bid in Pakistan’s international tender to purchase 100,000 metric tonnes of sugar was reported to be $545 per metric ton, including cost and freight (c&f), according to initial assessments from European traders, reported Reuters.
The tender, issued by Pakistan’s state trading agency, Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP), is still under review, and no purchase has been confirmed as of yet. The TCP typically negotiates for several days before making a final decision on whether to proceed with a purchase.
While reports are based on traders’ initial assessments, further price and volume estimates could emerge as the process unfolds.
