The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the recommendation of the Civil Services Board for the appointment of Arvind Kumar Rawat (IRSS: 2008), to the post of Director in the Directorate of Sugarcane and Vegetable Oil under the Department of Food & Public Distribution for a period of five years from the date of assumption of the charge of the post or until further orders.
Rawat is an officer from the Indian Railway Stores Service (IRSS) and brings years of administrative experience to this new role in the food sector, which plays a vital role in India’s agricultural economy and public distribution systems.
