Indian equity indices ended marginally lower on September 30.

Sensex ended 97.32 points lower at 80,267.62, whereas Nifty concluded 23.80 points down at 24,611.10.

On the 30-share Sensex, Adani Ports, UltraTech Cement, Tata Motors, BEL, and Bajaj Finance stood among the early gainers. On the other hand, the laggards included Bharti Airtel, ITC, Trent, Bajaj Finserv, and Titan.

The Indian Rupee chocked its fifth consecutive monthly decline, driven primarily by persistent foreign fund outflows and mounting trade concerns.

In the previous season, Sensex ended 61.52 points lower at 80,364.94, whereas Nifty concluded 19.80 points down at 24,634.90.
