Domestic sugar prices remained stable
After declining since mid-October, domestic sugar prices have stabilised over the past two to three sessions. Prices are currently steady amid subdued demand, with no significant festive buying expected despite a lower monthly release quota. Market sentiment remains cautious as the sugarcane crushing season is set to commence shortly, raising expectations of increased supply in the coming weeks.
In regional markets, M-grade sugar in Muzaffarnagar (Uttar Pradesh) was quoted at ₹3,940–4,000 per quintal, while S-grade sugar in Kolhapur (Maharashtra) traded in the range of ₹3,740–3,780 per quintal.
