Bihar: Madhubani sugar mill to reopen after cabinet approval, says newly elected MLA

Madhubani: The sugar mill in the Madhubani Assembly constituency, which has been closed for years, will be reopened. The Cabinet has already given its approval for the move. Newly elected MLA Madhav Anand said this decision fulfils the promise he made to the public during the election campaign—that if elected, he would work toward restarting the mill, reports Live Hindustan.

Speaking to reporters at the Circuit House, Anand said that after the election results, he consistently raised the issue with the Chief Minister and senior leaders ahead of the first Cabinet meeting, and the efforts produced a positive outcome right at the beginning.

The MLA said that the “triple-engine” combination of the MP, Mayor, and MLA in the Madhubani Assembly area will work together to ensure overall development. He added that the bus stand will be renovated and a stadium will also be constructed.

Mayor Arun Rai, Manoj Chaudhary, Prafulla Jha, Sanjay Pandey, Priyarajan Pandey, Sunny Singh, Sajan, Ram Bahadur Chaudhary, Satish Das, Ranjit Kamat, Arun Jha, Pawan Singh Pappu, and others were present on the occasion.
