Domestic Market
Domestic sugar prices remained stable

Domestic sugar prices across major markets reported to be stable for the third session. The start of crushing activity coupled with subdued buying activity is weighed on sugar prices and are likely to remain under pressure in the upcoming sessions.

In key physical markets, M-grade sugar in Muzaffarnagar (Uttar Pradesh) was quoted between ₹4,040 and ₹4,110 per quintal. In Kolhapur (Maharashtra), S-grade sugar traded in the range of ₹3,690–₹3,740 per quintal, indicating a stable to slightly weak pricing trend.

At the time of writing this update London White Sugar #The 5 front month contract is trading at $427.40 ton, whereas the New York Sugar # 11 The front month contract is trading at 14.96 c/lb. The corn futures market trades at 433-0 and the ethanol Chicago trades at 1.71000s

Currency, Commodity & Indian Indices

The rupee traded against the US dollar at 89.569 whereas USD was trading with BRL at 5.3345 Crude WTI traded at $59.20 a barrel. Sensex closed 64.27 points down at 85,641.90 whereas Nifty closed 27.20 points lower at 26,175.75.
