Indian equity indices ended on a negative note with Nifty below 26,050 on December 2.
Sensex ended 503.62 points lower at 85,138.27, whereas Nifty concluded 143.55 points down at 26,032.20.
Indian rupee ended 32 paise lower at 89.87 per dollar on Tuesday versus Monday’s close of 89.55
Interglobe Aviation, Reliance Industries, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank were among top losers on the Nifty, while gainers included Asian Paints, Tech Mahindra, Dr Reddy’s Labs, SBI Life Insurance and Maruti Suzuki.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 64.77 points lower at 85,641.90, whereas Nifty concluded 27.20 points down at 26,175.75.
