Kichchha: The sugar mill has paid ₹8.80 crore for the sugarcane purchased up to November 29. Since the start of the crushing season, the mill has paid a total of ₹13.55 crore to farmers, reports Live Hindustan.
On Tuesday, the mill’s Executive Director, A.P. Bajpai, said that the payment of ₹8.80 crore for the cane bought between November 23 and November 29 has been transferred to the accounts of the Cane Development Committees. He added that the mill has cleared ₹13.55 crore so far for the ongoing crushing season.
The mill has crushed 4 lakh quintals of sugarcane and achieved a recovery rate of 8.52 percent, resulting in the production of 0.31 lakh quintals of sugar.
