Lakhimpurkhiri, Uttar Pradesh: The regional Ajbapur sugar mill has transferred Rs. 35.53 crore to farmers’ bank accounts for 8.94 lakh quintals of sugarcane purchased between 22 November and 28 November 2025. Around 16,000 farmers have benefited from the payment, reported Live Hindustan.
Sharing the information, unit head Prabhat Kumar Singh said the mill is committed to purchasing every single cane harvested by the farmers. He urged sugarcane growers in the region not to sell their produce to kolhu crushers.
He also requested farmers to supply clean and fresh cane to the mill and to ensure that early-variety cane is supplied only against early-issued slips.
