Indian equity indices ended on a muted note in the volatile trade on December 18.
Sensex ended 77.84 points lower at 84,481.81, whereas Nifty concluded 3.00 points down at 25,815.55.
Sun Pharma, Power Grid Corp, Tata Steel, Bajaj Auto, Asian Paints were among top losers on the Nifty, while gainers were Interglobe Aviation, Max Healthcare, TCS, Infosys, Tech Mahindra.
Indian rupee ended higher at 90.25 per dollar on Thursday against Wednesday’s close of 90.37.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 120.21 points lower at 84,559.65, whereas Nifty concluded 41.55 points down at 25,818.55.
