Fiji: January 11 set as tentative end date for Rarawai sugar crushing season

The Fiji Sugar Corporation and the Sugar Cane Growers Council have agreed on Sunday, January 11, 2026, as the tentative end date for the 2025 crushing season at the Rarawai Mill, reports FBC News.

The Sugar Tribunal will continue to oversee harvesting and crushing activities before confirming the final date for ending operations.

Officials said a formal order to stop crushing at the Rarawai Mill will be issued seven days before the agreed date, after further discussions with both the Corporation and the Council.

Until the final notice is given, crushing and harvesting activities at the mill will continue as scheduled.
