Indian equity indices ended on a negative note with Nifty below 25,100 on January 23.
Sensex ended 769.66 points lower at 81,537.70, whereas Nifty concluded 241.25 points down at 25,048.65.
Biggest Nifty losers were Adani Enterprises, Adani Ports, Eternal, Interglobe Aviation, Cipla, while gainers included Dr Reddy’s Labs, Tech Mahindra, ONGC, Hindalco, HUL.
Indian rupee ended at record low at 91.96 per dollar on Friday versus Thursday’s close of 91.62.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 397.73 points higher at 82,307.37, whereas Nifty concluded 132.40 points up at 25,289.90.
