Domestic Market
Domestic sugar prices were reported stable
Domestic sugar prices remained stable across major markets, supported by expectations that the Government of India may soon increase the Minimum Selling Price (MSP). Market sources indicate the MSP could be raised from the current ₹31/kg to around ₹37–38/kg, which is helping prices hold firm in key trading centres.
In Muzaffarnagar (Uttar Pradesh), M-grade sugar was quoted in the range of ₹3,980–₹4,100 per quintal, steady compared to the previous session. Meanwhile, in Kolhapur (Maharashtra), S-grade sugar traded at ₹3,600–₹3,660 per quintal, steady compared to last session.

International Market
At the time of writing this update London White Sugar #The 5 front month contract is trading at $422.10 ton, whereas the New York Sugar # 11 The front month contract is trading at 14.84 c/lb. The corn futures market trades at 423-4 and the ethanol Chicago trades at 1.57000s.
Currency, Commodity & Indian Indices
The rupee traded against the US dollar at 91.846 whereas USD was trading with BRL at 5.2849 Crude WTI traded at $60.40 a barrel. Sensex closed 769.67 points down at 81,537.70 whereas Nifty closed 241.25 points higher at 25,048.65.
