Indian equity indices recover with Nifty closing at 25,088.40 on February 2.
Sensex was up 943.52 points to close at 81,666.46, whereas Nifty concluded 262.95 points up to 25,088.40.
Biggest Nifty gainers were Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles, Tata Consumer, Adani Ports, Power Grid, Bharat Electronics, while losers were Shriram Finance, Max Healthcare, Cipla, Axis Bank, Infosys.
Indian rupee ended lower at 91.51 per dollar on Monday versus Friday’s close of 91.99.
On Sunday, reacting to the Budget, Sensex closed at 8.722.94, whereas Nifty concluded at 24825.45.
