Sensex ends flat at 84,233; Nifty above 25,950

Indian benchmark indices halted their rally on February 11, with the Sensex down 40 points and the Nifty up 18 points.

The Sensex ended 40.28 points lower at 84,233.64, while the Nifty closed 18.70 points higher at 25,953.85.

Top gainers on the Nifty included Eicher Motors, Apollo Hospitals, Max Healthcare, SBI, and Maruti Suzuki, while the losers were Coal India, TCS, HCL Technologies, Eternal, and Infosys.

The Indian rupee ended lower at 90.70 per dollar, compared with the previous close of 90.58.

On the previous trading day (Tuesday), the Sensex had closed at 84,273.92 and the Nifty at 25,935.15.
