Indian benchmark indices continued their selloff on February 12, with the Sensex falling 558.72 points and the Nifty dropping 146.65 points.
The Sensex closed at 83,674.92, while the Nifty ended at 25,807.20.
Top gainers on the Nifty included Bajaj Finance, Shriram Finance, Eicher Motors, ICICI Bank, and Trent. The major losers were Infosys, TCS, Tech Mahindra, HCL Technologies, and Wipro.
The Indian rupee ended stronger at 90.60 per dollar, compared with the previous close of 90.70.
On the previous trading day (Wednesday), the Sensex had closed at 84,233.64 and the Nifty at 25,953.85.
