Indian benchmark indices continued their selloff on February 13, with the Sensex falling 1,048.16 points and the Nifty dropping 336.10 points.
The Sensex closed at 82,626.76, while the Nifty ended at 25,471.10.
Top gainers on the Nifty included Bajaj Finance, Eicher Motors, SBI Life Insurance, State Bank of India, and Cipla. The major losers were Hindalco Industries, Hindustan Unilever, Eternal Limited, Adani Enterprises, and Oil and Natural Gas Corporation.
The Indian rupee closed lower at 90.64 per dollar, compared with the previous close of 90.60.
On the previous trading day (Thursday), the Sensex had closed at 83,674.92 and the Nifty at 25,807.20.
