ChiniMandi, Mumbai: 20th Feb 2026

Domestic Market
Domestic prices remained stable

Domestic sugar prices were reported steady across the major markets for the third session. As news of the sugar MSP is fading, prices have remained in a broader range over the last 11-15 trading sessions and downside risks to the prices looks limited. Moreover, the forecast of above-normal temperatures by IMD is likely to keep overall demand stronger. Additionally, Indian sugar production is hinting further lower with lower production expectations from Maharashtra and Karnataka.

In North India, the Muzaffarnagar market witnessed a balanced spot scenario, with M-grade sugar quoted at ₹4,040–₹4,150 per quintal, unchanged from the previous session. Similarly, in Kolhapur—a key benchmark market—S-grade sugar traded steady at ₹3,700–₹3,750 per quintal.
