Domestic Market
Domestic prices were reported stable
Domestic sugar prices were reported steady in today’s session across the major markets after a recent slight correction. ISMA came up with a 3rd estimate at 29.3 MMT net sugar production, due to lower sugar production than expected in Maharashtra, Karnataka, and the minor states. Exports are forecast to be 0.7 MMT, with lower global prices.
In North India, M-grade sugar in the Muzaffarnagar market was in the range of ₹4,025–₹4,120 per quintal. In Kolhapur, S-grade sugar traded in the range of ₹3,680–₹3,720 per quintal.

International Market
At the time of writing this update London White Sugar #The 5 front month contract is trading at $406.60 ton, whereas the New York Sugar # 11 The front month contract is trading at 14.50 c/lb. The corn futures market trades at 427-2 and the ethanol Chicago trades at 1.67000s.
Currency, Commodity & Indian Indices
The rupee traded against the US dollar at 90.933 whereas USD was trading with BRL at 5.1324 Crude WTI traded at $66.14 a barrel. Sensex closed 50.15 points up at 82,276.07 whereas Nifty closed 57.85 points higher at 25,482.50
