Domestic Market
Domestic prices hold steady amid supportive sentiment
Domestic sugar prices traded steady across major spot markets in today’s session. The firmness in prices is largely driven by expectations of lower domestic production, which continue to underpin market sentiment. Additionally, the lower monthly release quota has provided further support across key trading centres.
In North India, M-grade sugar in Muzaffarnagar was quoted at ₹4,030–₹4,140 per quintal, unchanged from the previous session. In western India, S-grade sugar prices in Kolhapur were reported at ₹3,720–₹3,740 per quintal, supported by healthy buying interest.

At the time of writing this update London White Sugar #The 5 front month contract is trading at $418.00 ton, whereas the New York Sugar # 11 The front month contract is trading at 14.10 c/lb. The corn futures market trades at 437-0 and the ethanol Chicago trades at 1.79000s.
Currency, Commodity & Indian Indices
The rupee traded against the US dollar at 91.813 whereas USD was trading with BRL at 5.2006 Crude WTI traded at $72.40 a barrel. Sensex closed 1048.24 points down at 80,238.85 whereas Nifty closed 312.95 points lower at 24,865.70.
