Domestic prices reported stable
Domestic sugar prices witnessed a steady sentiment today in the major spot markets. As per the market sources, despite the lower monthly quota, buying interest is reported to be dull which is keeping prices range-bound despite the expected lower production.
In North India, M-grade sugar in Muzaffarnagar was quoted at ₹4,040–₹4,120 per quintal, stbale compared to the previous session. Meanwhile, in western India, S-grade sugar prices in Kolhapur were reported at ₹3,700–₹3,730 per quintal, supported by sluggish buying interest.

At the time of writing this update London White Sugar #The 5 front month contract is trading at $419.00 ton, whereas the New York Sugar # 11 The front month contract is trading at 14.35 c/lb. The corn futures market trades at 436-2 and the ethanol Chicago trades at 1.81250s.
Currency, Commodity & Indian Indices
The rupee traded against the US dollar at 92.187 whereas USD was trading with BRL at 5.1615 Crude WTI traded at $85.97 a barrel. Sensex closed 1342.27 points down at 76863.71 whereas Nifty closed 394.75 points lower at 23866.85
