All India weather summary & forecast bulletin – 04 July 2022

According to the latest reports by India Meteorological Department, the significant weather features are as below :

♦ The monsoon trough is active and south of its normal position. There are strong westerly winds along the west coast in the lower
tropospheric levels.
♦ A Low Pressure Area lies over north Odisha and adjoining south Jharkhand & Gangetic West Bengal.
♦ Under the influence of above systems;
i) Fairly widespread/widespread rainfall with isolated heavy rainfall and thunderstorm/lightning very likely over Gujarat State, Konkan & Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, Telangana, Coastal & South Interior Karnataka, Kerala & Mahe, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh and Odisha during next 5 days.
ii) Isolated very heavy rainfall also very likely over Gujarat region on 04th, 07th & 08th; over Saurashtra & Kutch on 04th, & 08th; over Konkan & Goa during 04th – 08th; over Madhya Maharashtra during 06th-08th; over Coastal Karnataka on 04th & 05th; over south Interior Karnataka on 04th; Kerala & Mahe on 04th & 05th; over West Madhya Pradesh on 07th & 08th; East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha & Chhattisgarh on 04th & 05th and over Odisha on 04th, 07th & 08th July, 2022.
iii) Isolated extremely heavy rainfall also likely over south Gujarat Region & ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra on 08th and over Konkan & Goa on 07th & 08th July, 2022.
iv) Widespread rainfall with thunderstorm/lightning very likely over Marathwada and North Interior Karnataka during next 5 days and isolated heavy rainfall likely over Marathwada on 06th & 07th and over North Interior Karnataka during 04th-06th July, 2022.
v) Scattered rainfall activity with isolated heavy rainfall likely over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Karaikal during next 5 days.
vi) Fairly widespread/widespread rainfall with isolated thunderstorm/lightning very likely over Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan & Muzaffarabad, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh during next 5 days and isolated heavy rainfall likely over Jammu &
Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan & Muzaffarabad on 05th and Uttarakhand & Himachal Pradesh during 05th-08th July, 2022.
vii) Isolated rainfall activity very likely over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh-Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan during next 24 hours and scattered to widespread rainfall activity with isolated thunderstorm/lightning likely over the region during 05th-08th July, 2022.
viii) Isolated heavy rainfall likely over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh-Delhi on 07th & 08th; West Uttar Pradesh on 06th; East Rajasthan during 04th-08th and West Rajasthan during 05th-08th July, 2022. Isolated very heavy rainfall also likely over West Rajasthan on 06th
and over East Rajasthan during 06th-08th July, 2022.
