Ambala police book farmers for burning stubble

Ambala: Eight farmers from Ambala district have been booked for burning crop stubble. Government has imposed the ban on burning stubble.

According to the news report published in The Times of India, the police acted on the complaint of the agricultural development officer (cane) Inderjeet Singh and registered cases against farmers from Gola and Toba villages of the district.

Girish Nagpal, Ambala deputy director of agriculture (DDA) stated that the Haryana government has put a ban on stubble burning as per the National Green Tribunal (NGT) order.
