Amroha, Uttar Pradesh: Sugar mills in the district have almost completed the preparations to commence the cane crushing season and by the end of October, they have been instructed to run with full capacity.
The sugarcane department has geared up the work to ensure that the mills start the crushing operations in time.
As many as one lakh sugarcane farmers are engaged in the cane cultivation activities in the Amroha district and the area under cane cultivation is around 70,000 hectares.
As per the news report published in Livehindustan.com, District Sugarcane Officer Hemendra Pratap Singh said that emphasis is being laid on starting the crushing season on time. The crushing season of all sugar mills will start by the last week of October.
