Andhra Pradesh: CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy lays foundation stone for ethanol plant

Andhra Pradesh’s Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy laid the foundation stone for the ethanol unit at Gummalladoddi in Gokavaram Mandal in East Godavari district on Friday, reports The Hans India.

The plant is being set up on 20 acres at APIIC Industrial Park in Rajamahendravaram by Assago Industries with a cost of Rs 270 crore. This unit will be producing 200 kiloliters of bio ethanol per day and generate employment for 100 people directly and 400 people indirectly.”

The central government has set a target of achieving 20% ethanol blending by 2025-26 to lower crude oil imports and reduce pollution.
