Bijnor: The sugarcane crushing season of Awadh sugar mill concluded on Monday night. The mill continuously operated for 216 days during the 2019-20 crushing season and set a new record of crushing 2.15 crore quintal sugarcane.
According to the news report published in Livehindustan.com, sugar mill executive chairman, Sukhbir Singh said, “We declared the closure of the crushing season and stopped operations of the mill after confirming that the sugarcane grown by farmers in the region is completely crushed. We ensured that no cane was left in the fields for crushing before shutting operations.”
He thanked the farmers, employees and all those who ensured that the mill could continue operations without any interruptions during the crushing season. The mill continued operations during lockdown strictly following all the rules and taking precautions.
