Bangladesh: Sugar prices will not increase, says Commerce Minister

Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi assured that sugar prices will not increase; rather, they will remain unchanged in the coming days, thanks to the stable US dollar rate against the Bangladeshi Taka.

He mentioned that the government has implemented various measures to regulate the prices of essential commodities during the upcoming month of Ramadan.

The minister made these comments while speaking to journalists in Rangpur after receiving his electoral symbol. He emphasized that if the dollar rate decreases, the price of sugar can also be reduced. However, with the current stability in the dollar rate, there will be no further increase in the price of sugar.
