Bihar: Plan to revive Raiyam and Sakari sugar mills

Darbhanga, Bihar: Sugarcane minister Pramod Kumar stated that the government is taking steps to revive closed Raiyam and Sakari sugar mills.

According to the news report published in Livehindustan.com, he inspected the Raiyam sugar mill on Monday and said that the government has cancelled the agreement with Tirhut Industries Ltd for not completing the construction work on time. Now, according to the new policy of the government, ethanol and sugar plants will be set up here through a new investor. In this regard, information has been given to all the concerned officials including DM.

The Minister said that after the cancellation of the agreement, the responsibility of security of the mill premises and the goods present there has been entrusted to Rayam police station.
