Bolivia plans to export 30 per cent of sugar output this year

Sugar industry in Bolivia has planned to export 30 per cent of the total sugar produced in the current season.

According to the media report, in the Santa Cruz region, sugar harvesting reached 72 per cent in September. The Producers have harvested 119,886 hectares of total 164,416 hectares land, informed Oscar Alberto Arnez, president of the national sugarcane producers association Concabol.

The country has so far crushed 6.2 million metric tonne sugarcane and has produced 8.3 million quintals sugar.
