“Congress cheated farmers in loan waiver schemes”

Gorakhpur, Feb 25 (UNI) Alleging that Congress cheated farmers by partially waiving loans, Prime Minister Narendra Modi claimed that his government was committed for overall development of farmers.

Addressing the farmers here on Sunday, PM Modi said “there was Rs 6 lakh crore loans on farmers but Congress government only waived loans of Rs 52,000 crores.” Congress has cheated farmers by partially waiving loans, he alleged.

Highlighting the achievements of his government, PM Modi said BJP government ensured availability of neem-coated urea.

He said by neem-coating not only black marketing of urea seized but fertility of land also increased.

PM Modi said “Earlier only Rs 15 was reaching to beneficiaries out of Rs 100 but BJP government made system to provide the money directly into the accounts of beneficiaries”.

He said that it was historical monument when farmers honour scheme was initiated from land of Baba Gorakhnath.

He said that BJP government was committed for overall development of farmers, women, youngsters and every sections of society without any discrimination.  He said schemes like Ujjwala have benefited women most.
