Coronavirus threat: Sugar mill to sanitise 75 villages

Muzaffarnagar: Amid the outbreak of Coronavirus, a sugar mill from Shamli district of Uttar Pradesh has come forward with the initiative of sanitising 75 villages to prevent the spread of virus.

According to the media reports, the Doab sugar mill will also provide free meals to 750 employees of the mill engaged in crushing work.

“We will sanitise Shamli and 75 villages near the mill to stop the spread of the virus during the lockdown,” R B Khokhar, chief operating officer of the mill told the media.

According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), the cases of infections are on a rise every day and as on March 27 at 11:00 am, there have been 640 active cases in the country and 17 fatalities.
