Covid-19 threat: Saudi Arabia suspends air service

New Delhi: Following the new Covi-19 strain, Saudi Arabia has suspended all international air service for one week which may be further extended for one more week.

General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has issued the notification in this regard.

After London stated that the new variant of Covid-19 is out of control, the number of countries all over the world have started banning international flights from London.

GACA issued a notification stating that all the international flights have been suspended temporarily for a week owing to the threat of new Covid strain.

The order came into effect from Monday midnight. The official Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said that the passengers that have arrived from foreign and are found with new strain will have to isolate themselves for two weeks and undergo the treatment.
