Crude Oil Futures Up On Positive Global Cues

New Delhi, Jan 18 (PTI) Continuing its upward march, crude oil rose by Rs 59 to Rs 3,783 per barrel in futures trade Friday as speculators indulged in creating speculative positions, taking positive cues from overseas markets.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for delivery in February was trading higher by Rs 59, or 1.58 per cent, at Rs 3,783 per barrel with a business turnover of 6,621 lots.

Analysts said speculative positions created by traders helped oil prices edge up globally Friday.

Meanwhile, West Texas Intermediate gained 1.08 per cent to trade at USD 52.63, while global benchmark Brent was up 0.93 per cent at USD 61.75 a barrel.
