District cane officer inspects ongoing cane survey work, sets deadline to June 15

Kasganj: District Cane Officer Om Prakash Singh inspected the ongoing cane survey work in the district. During the inspection, he instructed the team to complete the survey work by June 15th. He also asked farmers to be present in their fields during the survey, reported Amar Ujala.

The District Cane Officer said that the cane survey work has been going on since April 15th. This survey is very important. Based on this survey, the sugarcane quota and bond of farmers are determined. A joint team of sugar mill workers and government sugarcane inspectors from the Cane Development Department is conducting the sugarcane survey in 229 villages. There are a total of 16 circles in the district. The survey of 5525 farmers is to be done.

So far, 281 hectares of sugarcane have been surveyed. Work has been completed in 15 villages. Farmers should be present in their fields during the process and must obtain a receipt. He instructed the Senior Cane Inspector, Cane Development Inspector, and General Manager of Nyoli Sugar Mill to continuously monitor the cane survey and complete the work by June 15th.
