DSM sugar mill makes 100 per cent cane payment

Rajpura, Uttar Pradesh: As the crushing season has ended in Uttar Pradesh, sugar mills are clearing the cane payment. Millers have been instructed by the government to ensure that they make 100 per cent cane dues before starting the new season.

The sugarcane department in Uttar Pradesh is also keeping a close watch on sugar mills that have defaulted the cane payment.

According to the news report published in Livehindustan.com, ensuring that cane growers get all payment, DSM sugar mill Rajura claims to make full payment for the season 2020-21. Mill says that if any farmer has any issue regarding the payment of a price, then they can come to the office get it resolved.

Many farmers in the state claim that they have not received the cane dues and due to which they are suffering from a financial crisis. Farmers have decided to up the ante over the pending cane dues issue. Cane growers under the banner of Rashtriya Kisan Mazdoor Sangthan (RKMS) will stage a protest for demanding paying interest on sugarcane dues pending with mills. Sangthan with farmers will march to Lucknow on July 15 to press for their demands.
