Puranpur: Farmers await commencement of crushing operations at sugar mill

Plilibhit, Uttar Pradesh: Sugarcane farmers claimed that the stalled operations at the sugar mill have left sugarcane crops standing in the fields, impacting wheat sowing. They are compelled to sell sugarcane at lower prices to local crushers, reported Live Hindustan.

Despite the Poojan the Puranpur sugar mill on November 28, farmers claim that they are facing distress due to the non-functioning of the mill.
