Farmers happy after the expansion of Ramala sugar mill

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh government is trying to ensure that sugarcane farmers remain happy. Amid all odds, Ramala cooperative sugar mill managed to complete sugarcane crushing for the season 2019-20 and concluded operations for this season.

This would be the first crushing season of the Ramala mill whose expansion was inaugurated by Adityanath in November last year.

According to the BJP spokesman Chandramohan, “The crushing capacity of the Ramala sugar mill has been increased from 27,500 quintals of sugarcane to 50,000 quintals per day. A 27-megawatt power plant has also been set up in the mill premises. Now, an estimated 90 lakh quintals sugarcane crushing would be done here.”

The mill helped nearly 35,000 sugarcane farmers and after the expansion, nearly 2,500 people have got direct or indirect employment.

According to the government, under the efficient leadership of state CMYogi Adityanath, and under the guidance of Hon’ble Minister of Sugar Industry and Cane Development, Suresh Rana, keeping the payment of sugarcane farmers on priority, so far sugarfarmers have been paid a record cane price of more than Rs.1,00,000 crore, during 2017-2020 period.
