Shamli, Uttar Pradesh: Farmers’ organisation Bhartiya Ganna Kisan Sangh is planning to launch an agitation over the pending cane arrears. According to the news report published in Livehindustan.com, on Wednesday, a meeting of Bhartiya Ganna Kisan Sangh was held at Shamli office.
Addressing a meeting at Shamali, Anil Malik, president of the organisation said, “The mills have completed cane crushing for this season and more than two weeks have passed. The mills are yet to clear our dues around Rs 17,000 crore.”
“Farmers are helpless and borrowing loans from banks to meet their daily needs. If mills will not clear cane dues, then we will not even hesitate to launch an agitation for our demands.” he further added.
