Fiji PM meets sugarcane farmers

Sugarcane farmers from Nasarawaqa, Bua and Vucitoka, Seaqaqa settlement in Vanua Levu met Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama and discussed their problems related to cane cultivation.

The farmers are also connected with the joint ventures established by Fiji Sugar Cooperation with landowning units.

According to the media report, during the meeting, they raised issues of sugarcane, water problems, construction of roads connecting to the farms and upgrading schools. Graham Clarke, FSC Chief Executive Officer has thanked the president for his stand and role in developing Fiji’s sugar industry.
